Time’s up! Answer is now revealed. It’s spicy okra with prawns – a typical dish that mom makes at home. Okra, is one of the vegetables that you either like or don’t like at all. Due to its slimy texture, some may be put off. However, I love okra a.k.a lady fingers.
Okra and prawns – best combination in heaven, with a hint of spice of the chilies. Spicy Okra with prawns is so delicious that you can eat on its own or just with a bowl of white rice. If you desire a quick meal one of these day, I reckon spicy okra with prawns would be your winning choice! It takes less than 15 minutes to prepare spicy okra and prawns. I am sure you will ask for more after trying this out.
Such a healthy dish and looks so delicious too. 🙂
you make it look so easy and delicious!!!
I looooove this too…I can just eat them on its own you are right about it, and my cousin sister called it Nua Nua Cai (Sticky vegetables) when we were little…I just love love love this.
What’s not to like about udang? I am a udang-fanatic.
Sambal udang is sooooo good I have my mother’s recipe and I want to save that for my future cookbook (if any!). LOL.
Hi there
I’m trying in vain to find your e-mail address as we’d like to invite you to take part in Menu for Hope, the annual event where foodbloggers raise money for a good cause by raffling off prizes. Together with Johanna (The Passionate Cook) I will be co-ordinating the UK leg of this year’s campaign. Last year we managed to raise $66,000 and hope to increase that total again this time round. If you’d like to participate, please e-mail me asap and I’ll send you the details.
Wonderful pictures in this post btw – I love the colours!
Regards,
Jeanne

when do you add in the chili paste?
Hi Kiran,
Once you heat up the oil, add in the chili paste.
