Travel Portraits
Over the years, I have developed interest in taking portraits especially when I travel to different places. A picture is worth a thousand words! So, there is no recipe today but I have a few travel portraits to share. Hope you like them!
Beautiful! Great pictures. I would love to take portrait pictures when I travel but can never find the courage to ask because I am afraid some could be offended somehow. Has this happened to you or are most people actually flattered?
Thanks Caroline.
Well, it depends, I ask sometimes but there are times I don’t. It may sound rude but I feel when I ask, I may not get that perfect shot I wanted. I have to brave myself and follow my instinct when I think it’s a not-to-be-miss moment. So, I usually smile back and see the other party’s reaction. A lot of times, it seems he/she doesn’t mind and feel flattered. Kids are easy to deal with, though some adults too.
Of course, there are those that ask for money, then I give a bit.
Fabulous! I loved this serise of pictures.
Cheers,
Rosa

Beautiful pictures. Humans are so fascinating. I’d be interested to hear your response to Caroline’s question above. And do you often get asked for money in return for taking photos, or perhaps offer something anyway?
Yes, it’s amazing see everyone in this world is being so unique in many ways. Yeah, there are a few times when people ask for money. To be honest, I only give when I have some spare change. There are those that dress up (mainly at tourist places) go after you even when you don’t even want to take their pictures.
So far, I have only come across one kid in Cambodia that asked for money. I refused to give her because I didn’t want her to learn that it’s the way to get money when people take her photo. I gave her a pen instead.
Very interesting pictures Leemei…so much of a person life can be shown in this pictures…
Have a great weekend ๐
