Thanks to Bee at Rasa Malaysia for featuring me for the second time as a guest writer! This time, I have cooked a famous Japanese dish – Teriyaki Chicken. Teriyaki chicken is one of my favourite Japanese recipes that I will order whenever I go to a Japanese restaurant. I love the sweetness of the Teriyaki sauce. Teriyaki chicken goes well with a bowl of boiled rice or a over a bed of salad leaves.

I’m a big teriyaki fan but never bothered even thinking about making the sauce myself. I always used the bottled stuff. But never again!! This was SOOOO much better. Cooked down rich and thick and wonderful. Well worth buying the bottle of sake and taking the extra 10 minutes. Thanks for all your work maintaining your site!
Chris,
Yes – it’s so much better to make the sauce and it tastes much better. Now, I think the bottled one is a bit salty!
By adding mirin and sake to the pantry guarantees best teriyaki!
I tried out this dish and it was absolutely amazing! thanks for the recipe 🙂
