Hello, my name is Leemei.

I am award-winning cookbook author, food blogger, and photographer. Born and raised in Malaysia, I've always had a deep connection with food—it's been the heartbeat of my life. My journey has taken me across the globe, from my childhood kitchen in Malaysia to over a decade in the vibrant city of London, then to the dynamic energy of Hong Kong, and now, in sunny Singapore with my wonderful French husband and our two young kids.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of being featured in some amazing publications like The New York Times, Grazia, BBC Olives, Delicious, Flavours, and Woman & Home. It's been such an exciting ride! I've also collaborated with Malaysian Kitchen and WorldFoods, developing and sharing recipes that celebrate the flavors I love.

One of my proudest moments was when my debut cookbook won the prestigious Gourmand World Cookbook Award for "Best in the World" in the Best Blogger Cookbook category. It's still hard to believe sometimes, but it’s a testament to the passion and love I pour into my cooking.

I started this blog way back in 2007 as a way to document my food journey. Cooking has been a lifelong passion, and it all began when I was just a kid, spending countless hours in the kitchen. I believe in keeping things fresh, practical, simple, and healthy—while making sure everything is absolutely delicious, of course!

Travel has been another major influence on my cooking. Every new place I've visited has left its mark on my recipes, and I love weaving those global flavors into the dishes I create. Whether you're here for a taste of my kitchen experiments or a sprinkle of travel-inspired recipes, I'm thrilled to share this culinary journey with you.
