Leemei is an award winning cookbook author, food blogger and photographer. She was born in Malaysia and spent most of her life living abroad. After more than a decade in London, she is currently living with her French husband in Hong Kong.
She has been featured in the New York Times, Grazia, BBC Olives, Delicious, Flavours, Woman & Home and etc. Besides, she has also developed and written recipes for Malaysian Kitchen and WorldFoods.
Her debut cookbook Lemongrass and Ginger: Vibrant Asian Recipes, published by Duncan Baird Publishers in 2012, has won the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for the “Best in the World” title in the category of Best Blogger Cookbook at the Paris Cookbook Fair in March 2013. The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards feature around 26,000 books from 136 countries.
She started this blog as a way to document her food journey in 2007. Good food has always been important to her. She has spent a lot of time, since young, in the kitchen watching her mother cooking. She is passionate about making it, writing about it, photographing it, and of course eating it! Her style of cooking has always been fresh, practical, simple, healthy and delicious. Her travel experiences have greatly inspired her in creating new recipes. She cooks Asian, Modern French and Franco-Asian food.
